SSS Recap

When the weather is as difficult as it was on Monday and Tuesday, it takes a certain kind of performance to win a golf tournament. That is especially true when the course is like Comanche Trace with out of bounds or hazards on nearly every hole and multilevel greens with good speed. I saw our guys hit it out of bounds and in hazards, we had three putts and even two four putts, but our guys kept playing golf. I was really impressed with the scores our guys turned in despite the big numbers that they took on some of the more difficult holes. It was a great testament to their ability to shake off mistakes, trust that there game is good, and not allow a shot or hole to define their round. It was a great way to start the spring!

1 Trinity 302-312-614
T3 Yoeff 77-73-150
T7 Warren 75-77-152
T13 Kalen 76-80-156
T27 ELG 74-87-161
T27 TY 79-82-161

Some notable tournament stats:
Yoeff and Warren led the field in par 3 scoring at -1.
Yoeff tied for the tournament lead for birdies with 7
Warren was T5 in birdies with 5
ELG was 3rd in pars with 22
Our team led the field in par 3 scoring at +11, second in birdies with 18, and second in pars with 98.

We have a couple weeks to prepare for our next tournament in Georgia so we will be working hard to improve some weaknesses. This tournament is always one of the teams favorites because Jekyll Island is a special place with a fun golf course against a premier field. We're looking to do some damage this year!
