La Cantera

We had the opportunity to play the Resort Course at La Cantera a few weeks back. This course hosted the PGA TOUR's Valero Texas Open from 1995-2009. The 7th hole has a great 80 ft drop looking at Six Flags.
All Day attempting to drive the 7th green.

ELG takes dead aim.

SCAC Preview at Horseshoe Bay

9 Trinity 331, 334-665

T 21 Erik Long-Goheen 80,82-162
T 32 Austin Jung 88,78-166
T39 Geoffrey Setiawan 82,87-169
T41 Blake Turner 84,87-171
T45 Eric Davis 85,85-173
Obviously it was a rough week at Horseshoe Bay. We only managed 6 birdies and also had 30 double bogeys or worse. That adds up to some high scores. We will be better prepared when we return to Ram Rock for the SCAC Championship in April.

UMHB Women's Recap

The girls are preparing very hard for the tournament coming up at Horseshoe Bay this coming weekend. After our last tournament in Temple, we all know what we need to work on. We are trying to eliminate the “blow-up” holes, and become a more consistent team. Carla is having one on-one playing lessons with every player this week to help each of us properly think through each shot. We look forward to competing at Horseshoe Bay this weekend as it will be a good indication of our competition at conference this year.

ED makes a bomb on # 7 for birdie during qualifying.

UMHB Recap

6 Trinity 317,304-621

T11 Yoeff 76, 74-150
T21 All Day 74, 79-153
T44 ELG 88,74-162
T46 Blake 80,83-163
T50 ED 87,77-164

We obviously played better the second day, but so did the field, as we failed to improve upon our standing. Yoeff earned all tournament honors as he finish T3 among DIII players. He also earned the automatic qualifier spot for our next tournament at Horseshoe Bay.
